Nexus Employment Solutions Plus Inc. is hiring a seasoned Automation & PLC Maintenance Technician to support a food manufacturing facility in the Manteno, IL area. If your toolkit includes ladder logic, VFD tuning, and precision troubleshooting, this role is for you.

What you’ll tackle
Install and maintain plant electrical infrastructure: wiring, conduit, panels, motors, and controls.
Configure and commission electrical components on new and existing production lines to meet safety and compliance standards.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to avoid unplanned downtime.
Use advanced test equipment to pinpoint issues; repair/replace wiring, switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
Program, troubleshoot, and sustain PLCs; diagnose and correct faults on VFDs and HMIs.Conduct electrical safety assessments and implement hazard mitigations.
Coach operators and maintenance teammates on safe operation and first-line troubleshooting.
What you’ll need Fluent with electrical prints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Deep knowledge of AC/DC motors, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
Proven PLC programming, diagnostics, and repair background.
Experience working with VFDs, HMIs, and related automation components.
Comfort using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years as an Industrial Electrical Technician; food manufacturing experience preferred.

1st / 2ndPay range: $32.00 – $38.00 hourly
