Instructional Assistant, F/T

We are seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant to provide individualized support for a preschool student with special needs in a classroom setting. The role involves assisting with academic tasks, behavioral management, and daily activities, in alignment with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Individuals will be trained to meet the student's needs and support the student in the school environment.
Qualifications- New Jersey Instructional Substitute certification required
- Previous experience working with children or in educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the academic and personal growth of students
- Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively with others, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic classroom environment
This position may require the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds. Applicants should be able to physically engage with the student and perform tasks related to classroom support.
