Senior Cost Accountant
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000
Hybrid work arrangement | Minneapolis metro area

Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to support financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role will play a critical part in monthly close activities, inventory accounting, cost analysis, operational reporting, and strategic business partnering with plant and operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Support month-end close activities, including inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances, capital expenditures, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances and maintain accurate standard costing data within the ERP system.
- Partner with operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, capital spending, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Develop financial models, operational metrics, and reporting to support business decisions and improve performance.
- Manage inventory analysis, cycle count reviews, reconciliations, and inventory valuation activities.
- Assist with ERP system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing or operations finance.
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
