Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year (varies depending on experience & qualifications)

• Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including Store Manager, Service Consultants and customers.
• Recommend services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly document all recommendations in customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to direct supervisor.
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Work flexible schedules, Monday – Friday.

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma or equivalent;
  Technical School experience preferred.

The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Temperatures vary and may include extreme heat or cold. Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion with arms and hands; handle/finger objects frequently.
• Lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.
