Shepherd's Care is a Christian Childcare Center located in Maple Grove. This position requires you to assist the teachers in providing a warm and nurturing environment for children to meet their physical, mental, spiritual, social and emotional needs.

• Assist teachers in providing a warm and nurturing environment for children.
• Perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures, under direct supervision of the Teacher and Assistant Teacher.
• Maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor toward children, families, visitors, and colleagues.
• Support classroom instruction by helping to implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Oversee a class in collaboration with the Lead Teacher.
• Aid in housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playground.
• Work effectively in a team and adapt to frequent changes in activity, priorities, and/or work schedules.

• Loves working and playing with children.
• Ability to perceive children's needs.
• Develop positive relationships with children and families.
• Ability to anticipate and diffuse problems and disruptive situations.
• Works effectively in a team.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in activity, priorities, and/or work schedules.

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Must be able to get up and down off the floor, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in activity with children.
• Be able to communicate with children and parents in English.
• Meet Minnesota DHS qualifications for position and pass required DHS background check.
