Job Summary
To inspire and prepare all students with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning by assisting the supplemental teacher in providing educational services in the areas of reading and math to children identified as Title 1 students.

Work Schedule: 6 hours/day (5.5 hours/day Title I; 0.5 hours/day Clerical); 5 days/week
Responsibilities and Tasks- Assist in general classroom operational procedures such as setting up and operating audiovisual equipment, physical education equipment, and art supplies.
- Provide supervision during recess and/or cafeteria times.
- Work directly with students individually or in small groups on academic and motor or social skills (e.g., math, science, English, color recognition, decision making, self‑esteem building).
- Assist students and teachers in large group activities/projects (art, physical education, dramatics).
- Seek out special instructional materials for students with particular learning problems (e.g., separate math skill worksheets not part of the teacher’s curriculum).
- Type worksheets, tests, or various instructional materials; duplicate and assemble.
- Use iPads, Chromebooks, and Google Suite; correct tests via computer and record results in grade books.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
- Participate in district training program prior to and during employment.
- Highly Qualified – Applicants must meet the Highly Qualified requirement, which includes one of the following:
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education, with a minimum of 60 semester credits (or equivalent full‑time enrollment).
- An Associate’s (or higher) degree (AA, AS, AAS, or higher).
- Passing score on the Para Pro Assessment.
- Physically capable of lifting and attending to students’ physical needs as required.
- Skills needed to perform tasks and work with children, staff, and parents.
