Environmental Staff Scientist

Pinnacle Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Staff Scientist to join our Minneapolis team for challenging environmental investigation and engineering projects. We have an immediate full-time opening for an entry-level to two-year experienced professional within our Environmental Group.

Essential

Job Duties:
  • Travel as needed for meetings, client consultations, and site inspections.
  • Implement field sampling and investigation plans.
  • Prepare field forms, memos, and reports.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and perform site inspections.
  • Complete emergency spill cleanups.
  • Oversee subcontractor cleanups.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, biology, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to operate a company vehicle.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Fieldwork may involve hazardous materials cleanup, requiring OSHA medical surveillance, safety training, and physical capability to operate equipment, climb ladders, carry loads, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Certifications such as Hazwoper and a Class A CDL are advantageous.

Position Details:

This full-time exempt role typically works Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential for additional hours and travel, including overnight stays.

Travel:

Travel within and outside the state for client sites, including day trips and extended travel, may be required.
