Oakdale ObGyn is seeking a full-time Clinic Scheduler to join our busy team. Clinic Schedulers answer all incoming telephone calls in a helpful and courteous manner. They are responsible to assist the caller with their needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling clinic appointments, scheduling referral appointments, verifying patient’s demographic information, and/or transferring the caller internally. Additional tasks as assigned by the department supervisor.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to multitask and keep up with complex situations.
This position is remote, following an approximate 30-day on-site training period in our Maple Grove location. Hours for the training period will be 8:00am-3:30pm. Occasional on-site meetings are required. After the training period, the position hours will be 10:30am-7:00pm Monday & Tuesday and either 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm Wednesday-Friday. Additionally, 1-2 Saturday mornings per month will be required during the fall and winter months.
Job Functions:- Answer incoming telephone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
- Identify patient’s needs and transfer to appropriate resource, if needed.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient clinic appointments.
- Verify and accurately enter demographic and insurance information.
- Educate patients on financial obligations and responsibilities, and enter payments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Scheduling Supervisor.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- The ability to type accurately with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with patients, physicians, and office staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Previous experience with administrative support duties preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft office programs including Outlook and Word required.
Full-time
Pay:$22.52 - $32.90 per hour
