About the Role

Join our Vascular Technologies Team, where we create innovative technologies to diagnose and treat peripheral vascular disease. Our products improve patient outcomes and enhance lives by providing the most advanced and broadest set of therapy solutions.

As the Upstream Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping our product strategy by ensuring the alignment of customer insights, business needs, and technology innovation. This highly visible role will collaborate cross-functionally to define unmet clinical needs and deliver forward-thinking solutions that support our mission of advancing science for life.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Determine clear and specific priorities for the development of new products and enhancements by defining customer needs and collaborating with internal functional groups.
  • Drive Voice of Customer (VOC) efforts throughout the technology development process to ensure market specifications are incorporated into each phase.
  • Execute and participate in physician advisory boards while managing all healthcare provider engagements in accordance with compliance policies.
  • Oversee the product portfolio pipeline and make strategic recommendations to optimize product offerings and drive future growth.
  • Understand customer unmet needs and translate them into pipeline recommendations.
  • Serve as the marketing lead on cross‑functional project core teams during new product development, ideation, and launch phases.
  • Develop business cases and investment proposals for new products, including ROI analyses and launch schedules.
  • Consolidate and communicate a deep understanding of the competitive global peripheral intervention (PI) landscape to inform technology, clinical, and commercial strategy.
Qualifications Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in upstream marketing, product management, or strategic marketing within the medical device industry
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including support for trade shows, internal meetings, and customer programs (some international travel may be required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (such as MBA)
  • Experience with market and revenue modeling
  • Experience engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and managing physician collaborators
  • Demonstrated ability to develop deep clinical or technical expertise
  • Ability to collaborate with commercial and finance teams to define and implement effective business models
Compensation

Minimum Salary: $99,100

Maximum Salary: $188,300

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see —will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
