The Sales and Service Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Maple Grove MN. This position is responsible for engaging with current and prospective customers, answering questions about insurance products, and providing quotes and policy information. Day-to-day tasks include processing applications and policy changes, assisting with billing inquiries, and ensuring accurate documentation in internal systems. The role also involves proactively following up with leads, supporting sales campaigns, and helping customers understand coverage options that best meet their needs.

The representative collaborates with agency team members to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience in line with American Family Insurance’s service standards.

• Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally, listen actively, and respond clearly to diverse customer needs.
• Sales and relationship-building abilities to generate leads, follow up on opportunities, and support long-term customer retention.
• Organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple customer requests, maintain accurate records, and handle policy and billing processes.
• Basic computer and office technology proficiency, including the ability to learn insurance systems, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and judgment to interpret policy information, resolve customer issues, and escalated complex matters appropriately.
• High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards consistent with American Family Insurance’s values.
• Ability to work on-site in Maple Grove, MN, and collaborate effectively with agency team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or prior insurance, financial services, or retail sales experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain any state-required insurance licenses (training and support may be provided).
