PositionSummary
We are seeking a dynamic, organized self‑starter to serve as a Regional Manager (RM) of Facilities Maintenance on our corporate‑based engineering team. The RM will manage and lead Facilities Managers and Facilities Area Managers (Shift supervisors), report to the Facilities Maintenance Director, and maximize equipment uptime through maintenance execution and projects in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and manage field‑based Facilities Managers in the expansion and continuous improvement of Amazon’s North American Fulfillment Network.
- Drive maintenance best practices:
Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, provide a safe work environment, and require safe work practices, train, commission equipment, and collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes and enhance Amazon customer experience. - Offer guidance to senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end‑of‑life (EOL) issues using ROI and other analytical techniques.
- Provide oversight for budget development and execution, and capital planning.
- Help manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Amazon’s network size to maximize economies of scale.
- Provide frequent on‑site monitoring, auditing, and enforcement of maintenance execution, safe work practices, and institute and audit training drills across the network.
- Leverage the entire maintenance team for the benefit of the North American network.
- Develop and manage budget and contract documents, including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing.
- Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility over facilities manager responsibilities so that they can better understand, lead, mentor, and manage FMs.
- Recruit, interview, and hire bar‑raising talent in the Facilities Maintenance and Facilities Area Manager roles.
- Help create a world‑class facilities maintenance organization.
- Be willing and able to relocate for the needs of Amazon.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) experience.
- 7+ years of managing large, complex facilities organizations experience.
- Experience leading change in multiple site environments and influencing those that are not direct reports or within your organization.
- 7+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
- Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems.
- Experience in Lean methodologies.
- Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and commercial off‑the‑shelf technologies such as Tableau, SQL, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Professional Engineering registration.

Base pay for this position ranges from $130,900 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,500 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
