Manufacturing Production, Operations Engineer
Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM | Pay rate: $25.50 an hour
Scheduled to work 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday, following a 2‑week pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. Only scheduled to work 15 days each month, with built‑in overtime pay.
Position SummaryAssist the press operator with printing press operations and related equipment to meet all safety, quality and production standards. You will report to the Cell Lead and receive work direction from the Shift Lead and Press Operator onsite at our Maple Grove facility.
Position Responsibilities- Responsible for food safety & quality.
- Act as a role model for safety and encourage fellow employees to work safely. Complete monthly safety, engagement and training activities, and support continuous improvement.
- Mentor and train new and developing employees.
- Remove completed rolls from the rewind station.
- Push paper roll carts into the loading position at the press.
- Assist the operator with preventative maintenance of equipment, including adjusting ink color, ink and glue viscosity and levels, and web the press to meet safety, quality, 5S, production and shift‑end expectations.
- Visually inspect product (printed roll stock and roll formation) at the rewind station to ensure quality standards for color, registration, patches, print and moisture levels.
- Assist in root‑cause analysis to aid the press operator in resolving problems.
- Enter information into the SAP computer system.
- Check written descriptions of paper rolls and other raw materials to ensure the correct material supply at the unwind stands and prepare for splicing.
- Maintain written production and inventory usage records.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Interpret common internal reports and supporting documents.
- Able to lift and carry up to 45–55 pounds routinely.
- Climb ladders, reach, and stand frequently.
- Unrestricted color perception.
