Director of Nursing (RN)

Bright Star Care of Maple Grove & Andover is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Nursing (RN) to lead Clinical Operations and drive the continued growth of our home care agency. We are looking for a strategic and compassionate leader dedicated to high clinical standards, optimizing clinical efficiency, and empowering our care teams to deliver a higher standard of care.

• Total compensation comprised of base salary and quarterly bonuses with consideration of experience and can-do attitude.

• Maintain and uphold current policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with the Minnesota Department of Health and Joint Commission standards, including chart audits and other quality assurance measures.
• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing client assessments, develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans for both skilled and non-skilled cases.
• Provide hands‑on clinical care/support as needed, including wound care, infusions, medication management, and occasional field coverage.
• Participate in the on‑call rotation to provide after‑hours support for clients and clinical staff, promoting continuity of care.
• Directly manage our RN Case Managers to effectively balance caseloads and maximize productivity.
• Supervises, educates, and coaches other nursing personnel/care‑giving staff.
• Plans and implements in‑service and training programs.
• Oversees the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports, and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
• Promotes home care referrals in the health care community.

• Current unrestricted MN Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Must have graduated from a National League of Nursing‑accredited program.
• Clinical experience with one (1) year of experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility.
• Reliable car/auto insurance.
• Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff.
• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills.
• Comply with accepted professional standards of practice.
• Proven ability to build quality and implement improvements within the operation.
