Repair and overhaul trucks, trailers and other equipment in our own full-service heavy truck shop at the Waite Park headquarters. Reports to the Shop Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Rebuild, replace and repair major components including transmissions and suspensions
- Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently
- Check and repair electrical and cooling systems
- Perform tune-ups, preventive maintenance and regular vehicle care
- Remove defective parts and replace with new, rebuilt or refurbished parts
- Inspect parts for wear and repair or replace pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of related work experience
- Advanced knowledge of diesel and engine maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of operating systems on heavy trucks
- Helpful: DOT Inspector certification, CDL, forklift or overhead crane experience.
