Software Engineer III

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Transactional Revenue Management team, responsible for building and evolving a platform that delivers competitive, near-real-time pricing for shipping customers. In this role, you will partner closely with engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design and deliver scalable systems for cost estimation, pricing strategy configuration, and data-driven insights. You will take ownership of building scalable and modular near real time systems that can be rapidly reconfigured and extended to match evolving business needs and creating experimentation workflows and tools to rapidly test hypotheses.

This role emphasizes distributed system design, cloud-native development, and data-intensive applications, with a growing focus on AI-assisted and agentic solution development. This Role can be based only in MN, IL and Kansas City.

• 5+ years of experience designing and delivering production-grade software
• 5+ years of experience with Python and backend service development
• 5+ years of experience with React or modern frontend frameworks
• Experience building cloud-native applications (Azure preferred) with Kubernetes
• Experience with modern data technologies, including MongoDB (or similar) and Snowflake (or equivalent)
• Experience with data pipelines and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow)
• Experience designing and consuming APIs and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern Dev Ops practices
