Who We Are:
Bright Bee is an innovative staffing partner that facilitates finding great people to support students and staff in local schools and non‑profits. We work with K–12 schools and believe that every team member matters—no matter where they started. Our goal is to help schools succeed and give workers the tools and support they need to grow in their careers.
How Bright Bee Works:
When you join Bright Bee, you’ll work as a contractor—taking short‑term jobs at nearby schools and nonprofits. You’ll use the Bright Bee app to find and accept jobs that fit your skills, interests, and schedule. You’re always in control—if a job doesn’t feel right for you, you don’t have to take it.
We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for people who are flexible, friendly, and ready to help wherever they’re needed. The best candidates are open to different types of work—like helping in the classroom, working in the front office, supporting with cleaning and building tasks, offering 1:1 behavioral support to students. If you’re someone who can jump into different roles and make the most of each opportunity, you’ll do great will also maximize your earning potential this way!
We will talk about our pay multipliers with you during your interview.
You Will Also Need:
- At least 48 college credit hours or a passing score on the paraprofessional exam
- Educational Aide Permit (current, or willingness to obtain before claiming assignments; the $28.50 fee is reimbursed after five assignments)
- A passion for kids and supporting youth in a school setting
Essential Functions Can Include:
Instructional Support - implement individualized education programs as assigned by the teacher
Behavioral Support - utilize behavior management strategies, with an emphasis in positive reinforcement
Supervision - assist in monitoring student(s) during non‑instructional times including breaks, lunch, recess and enrichments (PE, art, before/after school)
Communication - cooperate with necessary documentation processes, school support specialists, and other processes regarding the student(s) progress
- Must be available to work from hours of 7:30-4pm.
Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Our school partners post a variety of assignment‑types. Please select the assignment‑types you would be interested in, the more variety the higher your earning potential:
- Facilities (food service & custodial) - a great opportunity to serve youth by caring for their environment
- Non‑Instructional - mostly front office and community focused, tech, and event support assignments
- Instructional - build relationships with students in a larger group setting or after school programs, more supervisory assignments, teaching assistant
- Paraprofessional - supporting students with behavioral/socio‑emotional needs - a great way to support students 1:1 with their behavioral goals
- Classroom Substitute - Actively looking for teaching roles, open to exploring sub licensure, comfort and experience managing a classroom or large group of students
