With our expanding operations, we are looking for an experienced  Hydrovac Operator who is also passionate about building customer relationships and bringing new business opportunities.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated  Hydrovac Operator & Business Development Representative  who can operate our hydrovac truck while helping grow our customer base.

This is more than an operator position — we are looking for someone who understands the industry, communicates well with customers, identifies opportunities, and wants to grow with the company.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to increase their earnings through business development and performance-based incentives.

Key Responsibilities
Hydrovac Operations

Safely operate hydrovac truck for excavation projects

Perform day lighting, potholing, trenching support, and utility exposure

Follow all safety procedures and regulations

Complete daily equipment inspections

Maintain clean and professional job sites

Work safely around underground utilities

Complete job reports and documentation

Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and crews

Business Development Responsibilities

Develop relationships with construction companies, utility contractors, telecom companies, municipal contractors, civil contractors, property developers.

Identify potential hydrovac service opportunities.

Build repeat customer relationships.

Communicate customer needs and upcoming projects.

Help increase company workload and revenue.

Represent Cantel professionally in the field.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

Hydrovac operating experience

Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with air endorsement (preferred)

Experience working around underground utilities

Strong safety awareness

Good communication skills

Ability to work independently

Preferred:

Existing relationships in construction or utility industries

Previous experience in sales or customer development

Knowledge of Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland construction market

Experience with telecom, civil, or utility projects
