Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and supportive Teacher’s Assistant to join our instructional team. This is a blended role, providing academic and administrative support to both in‑person and online learners in a dynamic and student‑centered environment.

The role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in both instructional support and educational technology.

Position: Part‑time (Dependent on classroom schedule – Monday to Friday)

Wages: $25.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour depending on experience.

• Provide academic support to students during in‑person labs, workshops, or tutorials.
• Assist students in navigating online learning platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
• Support instructors in monitoring class participation, attendance, and assignment submissions.
• Respond to student questions and direct them to appropriate resources or supports.
• Help set up and organize instructional materials both online and in the classroom.
• Assist in marking quizzes or assignments as directed by the instructor.
• Coordinate with faculty to identify students needing extra help and provide one‑on‑one or group support.
• Facilitate smooth communication between students and instructors in both learning environments.

• Completion of a diploma/degree (preferably in Healthcare services).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with online tools such as Microsoft Teams and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience working with adult learners or in an academic setting is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
