Position: Auxiliary Child and Youth Workers Needed

Join the City of Pitt Meadows as an auxiliary Child and Youth Worker, focusing on summer children's recreation programs. Plan, implement, and support diverse activities including camps and sports.

This role involves working with various age groups in recreational settings. Candidates will assist in facilitating youth programs, sports events, and after-school activities while providing instruction and support. The ideal applicant has experience leading child and youth programs and knowledge of program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate various children's recreation programs

• Support drop-in sessions and sports initiatives

• Oversee camps and after-school programs

• Engage with youth in outdoor and community events

• Provide leadership and support to program participants

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience

• Instruction and leadership experience in recreational programs

• BC Driver’s License required

• Food Safe Certificate preferred

• Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C certification
