Position: Westview Secondary School Counsellor Role
Pursue a rewarding Counsellor position at Westview Secondary in School District No. 42, effective September 1, 2026, until June 30, 2027. This role focuses on supporting Grades 8-12 students through personal and academic guidance.

As a Secondary Counsellor, your mission will be providing comprehensive support to students navigating their educational and personal journeys. You will conduct counselling sessions, handle crisis situations, and assist in guiding international students. Facilitating connections to community resources will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer personal and academic counselling services

• Facilitate group sessions to foster student well-being

• Serve as a liaison for international student support

• Manage crisis interventions and resolutions

• Coordinate standardized testing preparations and execution

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in counselling or equivalent

• Current BC Teaching Certificate & TQS card

• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability

• Experience with integrated case management

• Knowledge of secondary education Ministry documentation
