Position: Elementary Counselling Role in BC
Take on a vital role in student support as an Elementary Counsellor for School District No. 42 in Maple Ridge, BC. This temporary position offers a chance to fulfill diverse student needs through effective counselling.

Starting September 1, 2026, in a 0.4 FTE capacity, you will provide individual and group counselling services in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Your role includes working with various stakeholders to promote mental health, resilience, and personal planning among students. Engage with classes and develop programs that address social and emotional learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate individual and small-group counselling sessions

• Utilize trauma-informed counselling techniques

• Collaborate with educators and families for student support

• Maintain accurate documentation of counselling activities

• Assist in transitions to new educational stages

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in counselling psychology or equivalent

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate & TQS card

• Experience in elementary counselling or teaching

• Exceptional communication and collaborative skills

• Commitment to confidentiality and best practices
