Children Services Recreation Leader

Join the City of Maple Ridge as a Recreation Leader 3, focusing on children's programs. Lead and inspire children aged 3 to 12 through engaging indoor and outdoor activities.

This role involves delivering fun, dynamic programs and overseeing activities such as day camps, trips, and safety initiatives. You will guide volunteers and junior staff while planning and evaluating various programs to ensure a quality experience for participants. Your contribution will foster community engagement and development for the youth in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and leadership for recreational programs

• Organize supplies and resources for smooth operations

• Complete documentation and reports on program participants

• Promote program engagement and respond to inquiries

• Monitor safety and maintenance of facilities and equipment

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 with related experience

• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification

• Knowledge of program leadership for children

• Skills in planning and implementing activities

• 20 hours Responsible Adult Training preferred
