SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

1.0 FTE CONTINUING

School District No. 42 (SD42) meets the learning needs of approximately 17,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, and is defined by its determination to keep student learning and growth at the heart of all its decisions. With an annual budget of over $200M and over 2,000 staff, the school district provides K-12 educational services in 22 elementary schools, six secondary schools, and two alternate schools.

It also provides a variety of certificate programs and relevant quality life-long learning opportunities through Ridge Meadows College and Continuing Education.

SD42 is looking for a qualified School Psychologist to join our Learning Services Team for a 1.0 FTE Continuing position, effective September 1, 2026
.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school-based and district staff to gather classroom data and develop instructional and behavioural support strategies.
  • Design and implement evidence-based interventions to support student learning and behaviour.
  • Administer and interpret Level C educational, psychological, and behavioural assessments.
  • Communicate assessment results and recommendations clearly to school teams and families.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collaborative planning and decision-making.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in school/educational psychology or a related field with a focus on school psychology.
  • Qualifications that meet the standard for membership in the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists.
