As a part-time Education Assistant, you will carry out pre-planned lessons and engage students with diverse learning needs. This position involves collaborating with a supportive team, including therapists and special education coordinators, to ensure student well-being and personal growth.
Your role is crucial in helping foster independence and self-advocacy among students as they navigate their learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement pre-planned lessons and activities
• Provide social-emotional support during transitions
• Collaborate with parents on learning routines
• Attend IEP meetings to inform goal-setting
• Adapt lesson materials to meet student needs
Requirements:
• EA certification or relevant experience preferred
• Strong interest in supporting diverse learners
• First Aid with CPR and AED certification required
• Compassionate and flexible approach to support
• Background with school-aged children is beneficial
