Position: Univar Solutions Metallurgical Specialist (Pitt Meadows)
Join Univar Solutions as a Metallurgical Application Development Specialist, focusing on mining industry advancements. Utilize your technical skills in lab and field settings to improve mining processes while traveling throughout British Columbia and Western Canada. This position requires a solid foundation in metallurgy, holding at least a Bachelor’s degree, and 3-5 years of experience in mining operations.
As a specialist, you’ll implement testing protocols, troubleshoot customer processes, and enhance collaboration with sales personnel. Regular travel (25-50%) is necessary to support mining clients in office.

Key Responsibilities   Perform metallurgical tests in lab and field settings
Troubleshoot mining processes for customer satisfaction
Support mining operations and technologies implementation
Share test results and technical updates with clients
Represent Univar at technical conferences and shows
Requirements   Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or similar
3-5 years hands-on mining operations experience
Familiarity with flotation and recovery processes
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel
