Join WSP as a Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training in British Columbia and work on transformative projects across Vancouver Island. Use your skills in geotechnical assessments and field programs.
This role provides a platform for recent graduates or early professionals to engage with experienced engineers. You’ll gain practical knowledge while executing field tests and supporting various infrastructure projects. The diverse landscape of Vancouver Island offers the perfect backdrop for expanding your expertise in soft soils and construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geotechnical field assessments and services
• Implement in-situ density tests and material evaluations
• Monitor and inspect construction sites regularly
• Assist in subsurface investigations and data logging
• Prepare technical deliverables using specialized software
Requirements:
• Degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering
• Eligible for EIT status with EGBC
• Passionate about fieldwork and project environments
• Familiarity with geotechnical sites is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office and possess a clean driver's license
