Trading Associate – Investment Associate (Trade Execution Specialist)

RBC Dominion Securities, Maple Ridge, Canada is looking for a Trading Associate to join an investment team. The role focuses on trade execution and financial planning support.

• Execute portfolio changes (Trading Execution)
• Exchange foreign currency when needed
• Review cash balances for investment or debit coverage for discretionary and non‑discretionary accounts
• Execute all other trading for team members including post‑client review portfolio changes, monthly AFT & RIF payments, on‑off EFTs & bank wires (Trade Execution only)
• Bridge between administrative team and financial planning/investment team
• Assist with analyzing financial situations, identify objectives, and develop strategies to meet objectives
• Maintain the Private Investment Management (PIM) Dashboard and ensure client accounts comply with current Investment Policy Statements (IPS)
• Review and execute reorganization notices
• Update the team’s communication channels, including websites, Linked In, Facebook, brochures, newsletters

• Approval as an Investment Representative (IR) with CIRO or willingness to become CIRO licensed
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• 4+ years of professional experience within the investment industry
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Highly developed technical skills

The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000. This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary / variable incentive payment up to 1.0x base salary.
