Join our Assertive Community Treatment Program as a relief part-time Peer Support Worker in Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows. Make a real impact in mental health care using your lived experience to assist clients in community living.

This role emphasizes recovery support through your personal journey with mental illness or substance use. As a Peer Support Worker, you will collaborate with ACT team members to empower clients in developing essential life skills, and provide valuable social and emotional support. Your expertise will help clients navigate community resources and services effectively while fostering independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish supportive relationships with clients

• Assist in developing critical life skills

• Facilitate community integration and service access

• Collaborate with ACT team and share client experiences

• Maintain program documentation and participate in planning

Requirements:

• Lived experience with mental illness

• Completion of a recognized peer support training program

• One year relevant work experience in social services

• Class Five BC Driver’s License

• Ability to engage and support a diverse population
