This clinician role emphasizes collaboration with the interprofessional care team to provide recovery-oriented treatment while assessing pediatric patients in crisis. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, offering crisis intervention, and aiding in patient flow across emergency departments. You will also contribute to care planning and coordinate access to necessary community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and determine service priorities

• Collaborate with emergency staff for potential psychiatric referrals

• Develop treatment plans with community resource consultations

• Provide crisis counselling to patients and families

• Advocate for patients’ access to community services

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field

• Two years’ clinical experience in child mental health

• Registration eligibility with a professional association

• Valid BC Driver’s License for travel

• Comprehensive knowledge of crisis intervention
