Fraser Health seeks a skilled Audiometric Technician to support Population & Public Health with audiometric evaluations and screenings. Enjoy a casual role across multiple sites while making a difference in clients' lives.
The Audiometric Technician position provides an opportunity to facilitate audiological testing and assist in hearing aid fittings. You will conduct general audiometric tests, maintain equipment, and provide education to clients. Collaboration with children and families is central, ensuring the best care and support for developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Audiologist with hearing evaluations
• Conduct various audiometric screenings and tests
• Educate clients on hearing aid usage
• Handle ear mold fittings and impressions
• Maintain supply and equipment inventories
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and health field diploma
• One year related experience required
• Valid Class V B.C. Driver's License
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Utilize your audiometric expertise and compassionate communication skills to enhance client care in public health.
