Location: Pitt Meadows
Join our Assertive Community Treatment Program as a Peer Support Worker in Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, B.C. Utilize your lived experience to empower clients and enhance their community integration.
This part-time role focuses on providing emotional and social support to clients with mental illness and substance use challenges. You’ll engage collaboratively with the ACT team to help clients develop essential life skills and connect to community resources. The position requires a commitment to the principles of self-determination and harm reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish meaningful relationships with clients
• Assist with life skills development and personal hygiene
• Provide information on resources and life skills
• Support clients in community integration activities
• Collaborate with the ACT team for client needs
Requirements:
• Lived experience of mental illness
• Completion of peer support worker training
• One year of related experience
• Food Safe Certificate
• Valid BC Driver's License and personal vehicle
