Maple Ridge Mental Health Support Specialist

Join Beckman House in Maple Ridge as a Mental Health Worker, focused on enhancing resident care and promoting their well-being. This part-time role involves shift work and community engagement.

The temporary position reports to the Nurse Manager and is part of the HEU union. The ideal candidate will assist residents in daily activities, develop individual care plans, and assess their progress. Through role modeling and teaching, you will inspire a culture of independence and self-reliance among the residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities as directed

• Develop meaningful individual care plans

• Monitor and document residents’ needs and progress

• Encourage participation in social and recreational programs

• Ensure compliance with safety standards in the workplace

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid Mental Health Worker Certificate

• Minimum two years relevant experience

• CPR and Emergency First Aid Certificates

• Medical certification and current Driver’s License
