Child & Youth Clinical Counsellor Role

Reporting to the District Principal, Safe & Caring Schools, this position involves providing therapeutic counselling and support services for children, youth, and their families. The ideal candidate will utilize clinical skills to address mental health and substance use challenges while supervising and mentoring staff in Youth Peer Support Worker positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic counselling to youth and families

• Monitor and support individual case progress

• Lead recruitment and training for school-based staff

• Manage employee performance and attendance

• Build relationships with school staff and advocacy groups

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or related field

• Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC

• 3-5 years’ experience in clinical counselling

• Experience in educational interventions

• Knowledge of community partnership dynamics
