Clinical Counsellor for Youth Support

Join Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows School District as an Integrated Child & Youth Clinical Counsellor. Deliver therapeutic counselling and support school initiatives for mental health and wellbeing.

In this pivotal role reporting to the District Principal, you will join a dedicated team to provide crucial counselling services and outreach for children and youth. Focus on preventative measures to address mental health and substance use challenges while liaising with school staff. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic counselling for children and families

• Advocate for youth needs within the school environment

• Facilitate multi-disciplinary team decision-making

• Manage Youth Peer Support Workers and oversee training

• Lead workshops for families and staff

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Counselling or Psychology

• Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC

• 3-5 years of clinical counselling experience

• Expertise in crisis intervention and mental health initiatives

• Strong liaison skills with community organizations
