As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at Ridge Meadows Hospital, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Speech Language Pathologist. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with assessments, managing client care, and implementing treatment plans as devised by the supervising pathologist. By promoting exceptional patient-centered care, you will contribute to enhanced quality of life for patients while being part of a caring team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer defined screening protocols for speech and swallowing

• Assist with assessments, collecting data and providing reinforcement

• Implement treatment plans in individual and group settings

• Document client performance and progress effectively

• Support augmentative communication resource creation

Requirements:

• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to organize work and operate relevant equipment

• Physical capability to perform job duties

• Experience in client interaction and support
