Slaughterhouse Butcher

Responsibilities   Slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
Cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging.
Remove bones from meat.
Cut carcasses, sides and quarters.
Perform tasks using knives, saws, and stunning devices.

Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities   Noisy work site environment with odours.
Cold/refrigerated environment.
Repetitive tasks.
Handling heavy loads.

Transportation & Travel  Own transportation required. Public transportation is available.
Requirements   No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
1 year to less than 2 years of experience in this field.
