AboutThe Role - Electronics Assembler (Early Career) - Maple Ridge, BC
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an early career Electronics Assembler who enjoys hands on technical work, takes pride in quality, and wants to continue building their skills in a structured manufacturing environment within our Orica Digital Solutions team. This role is well suited for someone with 1-2 years of experience in electronics or manufacturing who brings strong technical aptitude and is comfortable reading technical drawings, or able to learn this skill quickly with training and support.
You'll work closely with experienced team members while gaining exposure to complex assemblies and instrumentation components.
Hourly Pay Range: $19.75 - $22.50 CAD
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Hours:
7am - 3:30pm daily
- Assemble electrical, electronic, and mechanical sub assemblies, including cable assemblies and wiring harnesses
- Read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions
- Perform soldering, wire crimping, riveting, bolting, and micro welding as required
- Assemble enclosures and instrumentation components to specification
- Conduct functional testing and basic troubleshooting of completed assemblies
- Identify quality or process improvement opportunities and support updates to work instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety compliant work area
- 1-2 years of experience in an electronics assembly, manufacturing, or technical production environment
- Hands on experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and wire crimping
- Ability to read technical drawings or strong demonstrated ability to learn and interpret them quickly
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and quality mindset
- Comfort switching between tasks or projects throughout the day
- Basic computer skills (digital work instructions, databases, spreadsheets)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production timelines - A reliable, professional attitude and a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Technical certificate, diploma, or coursework in electronics or a related field
- Experience assembling instrumentation, controls, or electro mechanical components
- Exposure to CAD drawings, schematics, or manufacturing documentation
