Meadow Valley Meats is located at 18315 Ford Road, Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 0A5. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Meat cutter – meat packing plant. We are in search of a self-disciplined individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. The selected applicant will be required to join and take their responsibilities at the earliest. The open positions are for Permanent employment or Full time job.

The candidate must be available to work early morning, morning, day, and weekend shifts, must be willing to work shift schedules, and must be willing to work overtime when required. The LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) granted approval for the Meat cutter – meat packing plant position.

• The candidate must slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
• The candidate must slaughter cattle, calves, and sheep as prescribed by religious laws.
• The candidate must cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses, or sides or quarters of carcasses, into primal cuts for further cutting, processing, or packaging.
• The candidate will be responsible for cutting meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or other wholesale use.
• The candidate must remove the bones from the meat.
• The candidate must have strong food safety and handling skills.
• The candidate must offer mentoring.

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.

• The candidate should work in a meat processing and packing plant/establishment that protects meat and meat products during processing, storage, and distribution from mechanical, chemical, and biological hazards.

• The candidate must have experience operating cleavers, knives, power cutting tools, saws, and stunning devices.

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
