Mental Health Casual Nurse RPN​/RN

Become a Mental Health Casual Nurse RPN/RN with MPA Society, serving in Maple Ridge or Abbotsford. This role is essential for direct patient care and collaboration with health teams.

In this casual position, you will ensure operational continuity by filling in for the Care Manager when needed. Your responsibilities will include providing nursing assessments and guiding mental health workers in recovery-focused initiatives. You'll monitor medication effects and collaboratively work on recovery plans with residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents

• Implement recovery-focused goals and interventions

• Monitor changes in patients’ health status

• Educate residents on health care topics

• Maintain accurate health and medication records

Requirements:

• RPN/RN with BHSc (PN)/BSN preferred

• 3-5 years in community psychiatric care

• Ability to work independently with sound judgment

• TB and CPR certification required

• Open to casual schedules available
