Position: Fraser Health Psychiatric Liaison Nurse
Make a difference in mental health as a Part Time Psychiatric Liaison Nurse with Fraser Health in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows area. Focus on assessment and crisis intervention in a supportive team environment.

As a Psychiatric Liaison Nurse, you will provide critical assessments and collaborate closely with the Emergency Department team, ensuring the best outcomes for psychiatric patients. Your expertise in acute mental health settings will contribute significantly to developing and adapting individualized care plans. Engage with families and community resources to support ongoing mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric referrals and assessments

• Develop care plans and provide crisis counseling

• Liaison with interprofessional team and community services

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress

• Participate in quality improvement activities

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved nursing program

• License as an RN/RPN with BCCNM

• At least one year of experience in mental health

• Strong advocacy skills and crisis intervention knowledge

• Excellent communication with patients and healthcare teams
