This role places you at the forefront of patient preparations for surgery within the Preadmission Clinic. You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to enhance patient safety and improve outcomes. Use your clinical expertise to educate patients while assessing their specific needs, demonstrating your commitment to exceptional healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preadmission screenings for surgical patients
• Perform assessments and document patient histories
• Coordinate and plan nursing interventions for patients
• Provide education and support to patients/families
• Collaborate with interprofessional care teams on care plans
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in BC
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• Completion of required post-graduate course or certification
• Proficiency in patient assessments and technology
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
