Part-Time Animal Care Attendant BC SPCA

Contribute to animal welfare as a part-time Animal Care Attendant with the BC SPCA in Maple Ridge, BC. Care for shelter animals and assist front office staff while upholding high standards of care.

This temporary position requires 21 hours per week involving various shifts. As an Animal Care Attendant, you will perform essential animal husbandry tasks and foster a harmonious environment while ensuring humane treatment and optimal health care for the animals in the shelter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, runs, and cages

• Treat animals with compassion and concern

• Provide proper diet and ensure hydration

• Administer medications under supervision

• Support office staff with inquiries and adoption procedures

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid BC Driver's License

• Strong interest in animal welfare practices

• Demonstrable interpersonal skills

• Basic computer proficiency for office duties
