Position: Safety Coordinator for Underground Mining
Thyssen Mining is looking for a proactive Safety Coordinator in British Columbia to ensure compliance and support health and safety standards for underground projects. Focus on safety audits and incident management while fostering a strong safety culture.

As a Safety Coordinator, you will leverage over three years of experience in safety administration within mining or construction.

Your role will involve conducting thorough audits, managing claims with WorkSafeBC, and implementing corrective actions to improve safety protocols. Communication and coordination skills are critical for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform site audits and inspections based on safety regulations

• Document findings and suggest corrective actions

• Administer WorkSafeBC claims and return-to-work programs

• Lead and communicate incident investigations effectively

• Facilitate safety training and risk assessment initiatives

Requirements:

• Three years of experience in safety roles in mining

• Familiarity with BC safety regulations and compliance

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Knowledge of safety management software and Microsoft Office
