Part-Time Surveillance Operator – Chances Maple Ridge

Under the general direction of the Manager, Security/Surveillance, this position monitors interior and exterior areas of a property by closed‑circuit television cameras, maintains visual records, and ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures. The role supports a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

• Greeting guests and controlling access to the Casino
• Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons
• Preparing electronic statements via a non‑gaming record‑keeping system
• Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations, large cash/cash‑equivalent transactions, excluded and self‑excluded guests, and unauthorized access
• Maintaining logs and records; storing records for evidence purposes
• Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment
• Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Building strong working relationships with guests and team members
• Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
• Performing other duties as assigned or directed
• Being available to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays

• High School Diploma
• Post‑secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience (asset)
• Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in security or surveillance (asset)
• Responsible Liquor Service Certification (e.g., Serving it Right Certification)
• Computer proficiency
• Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
• Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
• Ability to obtain a Gaming Security Officer (GSO) license – company provided
