Part-Time Surveillance Operator – Chances Maple Ridge
Location:
Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada
Under the general direction of the Manager, Security/Surveillance, this position monitors interior and exterior areas of a property by closed‑circuit television cameras, maintains visual records, and ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures. The role supports a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities- Greeting guests and controlling access to the Casino
- Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Preparing electronic statements via a non‑gaming record‑keeping system
- Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations, large cash/cash‑equivalent transactions, excluded and self‑excluded guests, and unauthorized access
- Maintaining logs and records; storing records for evidence purposes
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment
- Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Building strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
- Being available to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
- High School Diploma
- Post‑secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience (asset)
- Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in security or surveillance (asset)
- Responsible Liquor Service Certification (e.g., Serving it Right Certification)
- Computer proficiency
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
- Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Security Officer (GSO) license – company provided
