Overview
Under the general direction of the Manager, Security/Surveillance, the relief supervisor is responsible for the safety and protection of employees, guests, and company assets. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the Manager, Security/Surveillance, the relief supervisor is responsible for the safety and protection of employees, guests, and company assets. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities- Ensure the safety of employees and customers, while protecting company property and assets.
- Escort armored car personnel, cash, guests, team members or change fills to ensure safety and security of people and assets.
- Monitor and document a variety of activities: interruptions of video recording, power failures; evacuations; incidents involving theft, found property or customer disputes.
- Perform identification checks on suspected minors, excluded and self-excluded guests. Report breaches to the Security/Surveillance Manager.
- Supervision of team members, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed and that Security Officers are delivering exceptional guest service.
- Maintain confidentiality of all situations and correctly reporting on any issues to Security/Surveillance Manager.
- Self-exclusion enrollments, iTrak & CIMS report writing.
- Security/Surveillance Supervisor will be required to attend to First Aid incidents, after completing an Occupation First Aid level II course.
- Performs duties surrounding surveillance needs as required.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the company, GPEB and BCLC as they relate to functions of the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
- Gaming Security or Gaming Surveillance experience required.
- Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset.
- OFA level 2 an asset.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Serving it Right Certification.
- Computer proficiency.
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time.
- Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
