Join the City of Maple Ridge as a Custodial Guard 1, ensuring the safety and well-being of prisoners in the RCMP cellblock area. This auxiliary role demands alertness and adherence to established protocols.
The City is looking for dedicated individuals to fill Custodial Guard 1 positions on an auxiliary basis. This critical role focuses on maintaining surveillance, providing care to prisoners, and handling various situations requiring both tact and decisiveness. You will ensure that all procedures are followed to uphold safety and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and guard prisoners ensuring their safety
• Conduct body searches when necessary
• Facilitate prisoners' meals and monitor conditions
• Keep alert for any safety concerns and respond accordingly
• Adhere to all relevant RCMP guidelines
Requirements:
• 10th grade education completed
• Relevant custodial or detention experience
• First-Aid and CPR certification required
• Must secure RCMP Security Clearance
• Physical capability to handle demanding duties
