Maple Ridge Relational Security Officer Position

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Relational Security Officer in Maple Ridge, BC. Make an impact by fostering a secure and supportive healthcare environment.

In this position, you will be integral to the Protection Services team, promoting safety at healthcare sites. Your work will include managing potential violence and aggression while ensuring a supportive experience for patients and staff. Drawing from your training and experience, you will perform vital interventions and maintain safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement security measures for patients and property

• Address potential violence proactively and effectively

• Participate in trauma-informed security practices

• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills

• Organize your work and operate necessary equipment

Requirements:

• BC Security Worker Licence is mandatory

• First Aid Certification required

• One year of relevant experience preferred

• Completion of the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum required

• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with security work
