Youth Development Worker - Float

Position: Youth Development Worker - Full-Time Float
Become a Youth Development Worker with PLEA Community Services, serving youth in Maple Ridge and Port Coquitlam, BC. This temporary, full-time position is dedicated to supporting youth facing complex challenges.

In this position, you will work closely with youth to build trusting relationships, facilitate their access to necessary resources, and assist them in achieving personal and developmental goals. You’ll be instrumental in guiding young individuals through various challenges including mental health or social issues, ensuring they receive personalized support from June to December 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop supportive relationships with youth and families

• Facilitate community resource access for youth and caregivers

• Plan activities to enhance personal and vocational skills

• Monitor compliance with legal directives and assist with goals

• Participate in case management and coordination of services

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related discipline

• Minimum one year of experience with at-risk youth

• Proficient in conflict management and relationship building

• Must have First Aid certification or willing to obtain

• B.C. Class 5 or 7N Driver’s License required
