The Youth Development Worker plays an essential role in providing tailored support to youth with diverse needs, including behavioral issues and social challenges. This position allows for a flexible schedule, focusing on making a positive impact in the lives of youth in Maple Ridge and Port Coquitlam. As a vital part of a dedicated team, you will help youth transition to independence and collaborate closely with families and other services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster relationships with youth for emotional support

• Design interventions addressing youth’s specific challenges

• Engage with families to strengthen supportive networks

• Assist youth in accessing essential community resources

• Conduct goal-focused supervision for youth under court orders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related discipline

• At least one year of relevant work experience

• Valid Basic First Aid certification or readiness to acquire

• Clean Criminal Record Clearance required

• Access to a vehicle for work-related travel
