Temporary Youth Development Worker Position

Join PLEA Community Services as a Temporary Youth Development Worker for the summer. This full-time role provides crucial support for youth facing significant challenges in their day-to-day lives.

Located in Maple Ridge, this 8-week contract starting May 26, 2026, requires someone passionate about youth development and collaboration. You will work with diverse youth to address personal, educational, and social needs through one-on-one mentorship and structured activities. A knowledge of community resources and behavior management strategies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive relationships to empower youth

• Implement strategies for personal growth and support

• Coordinate services with families for holistic assistance

• Facilitate community resource access for youth

• Assist youth with goals related to housing and skills

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences

• Year of experience with youth at risk

• Must maintain a valid Class 5 or 7N BC Driver's License

• Access to a personal vehicle for job-related travel

• Criminal Record Clearance mandatory
